Transaction foundation

Compliance starts with reliable books.

LanceIQ Books is the accounting foundation of the compliance service. It connects transaction records, balances and source documents to the company’s obligations and review work.

Transaction records

Work with invoices, purchase bills, expenses, payments and journals through the native LanceIQ workspace.

Ledger and reporting

Organise the accounting record for balances, financial statements and professional review.

Reconciliation context

Bring bank statements, outstanding items and source documents into the reconciliation and investigation process.

Compliance preparation

Use transaction context alongside registrations and government records to prepare accounting and tax work for review.

Availability and onboarding

The accounting foundation is deployed as a pilot. Books access and supported workflows are confirmed through staff-assisted onboarding; posting and statutory outputs remain subject to readiness and approval checks.

Each compliance-service client is assigned an accounting workspace. It becomes the authoritative ledger only after the agreed migration or fresh-ledger preparation, reconciliation and explicit acceptance of cutover.

Moving from existing books

  1. Agree the source ledger, scope and migration date with LanceIQ.
  2. Supply opening balances, unpaid customer and supplier items, bank statements and relevant tax records.
  3. Resolve reconciliation differences and missing evidence with the delivery team and professional.
  4. Approve the cutover before the LanceIQ ledger replaces the existing accounting source.

Supported source options are confirmed during onboarding. A Zoho Books connection can supply accounting context during transition; other imports are assessed for the engagement.

One record, clear authority

Books holds the accounting record. Government portals and registries remain authoritative for statutory filing status; banks remain authoritative for cash movement. Compliance OS connects these records and preserves the evidence behind review work.

Clients use the native LanceIQ interface. Workspace access is scoped to the assigned organisation. Requirements for a separately hosted accounting instance must be discussed before onboarding.

Included in the service model

A Books workspace forms part of the compliance-service model. Migration, recurring bookkeeping, professional work and any additional service charges are set out in the written engagement. The published company-watch subscription alone does not promise unrestricted posting, completed tax returns or professional filing services.
