Privacy Policy

Thank you for trusting LanceIQ with your business verification and collections workflows. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you.

1. What We Collect

We collect the information needed to operate LanceIQ: account details such as your name, email address, profile image, workspace membership, and sign-in metadata; business identifiers you enter, such as GSTINs and CINs; lookup reports, scores, timestamps, and audit logs; and technical data such as device, browser, IP address, and error logs used for security and reliability.

Some reports may include information returned by public registries or authorized verification providers, including company status, filing signals, charges, court-record summaries, and director-related details. Where such information relates to an individual, we treat it as personal data and limit its use as described below.

If you use our collections and messaging features, we also process the customer details you connect or enter — such as a customer's name and phone number, and information from a connected accounting tool like invoice and payment details — along with the WhatsApp messages exchanged with them. This lets us send the reminders you approve and keep each conversation neatly in one place for you.

2. How We Use It

We use your data to authenticate users, operate workspaces, run business verification searches, generate trust reports, maintain lookup history, reduce duplicate vendor calls, help you draft and send the payment reminders you approve, provide support, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and meet legal or contractual obligations. We do not sell your personal data or your search history.

Indian Kanoon court-search results are provided through Indian Kanoon and displayed with attribution where required.

3. Communications & WhatsApp Messaging

Our collections features help you stay in touch with your own customers over WhatsApp — for example, to send a gentle payment reminder or reply to a question. To make that work, we process the customer contact details you provide and the content of the messages exchanged: the reminders you review and approve, and any replies that come back. We keep this history so you always have a clear record of each conversation and can follow up easily.

These messages are delivered through the WhatsApp Business Platform, so WhatsApp (Meta) handles them as part of getting your message to your customer, under their own terms. We use this information only to run your collections workflow — we don't message your customers on our own, and we never use it for advertising. You stay in control: you can ask us to remove a conversation or your stored message history as described in "Your Rights and Choices."

4. Sharing With Service Providers

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising or unrelated commercial use. We share data only with service providers that are necessary to operate LanceIQ, such as authentication, secure hosting, database storage, business verification, legal-record search, messaging delivery (such as the WhatsApp Business Platform), billing, support, security monitoring, and analytics providers. These providers may process data only for the purposes needed to provide, secure, and improve LanceIQ.

5. Cache, Reports, and Retention

To keep the service fast and affordable, we may keep a shared business-level cache for up to 30 days. This cache is limited to business facts and does not include director personal details, raw legal payloads, or consent-bound credit data.

Reports generated for your workspace may include the information returned for that lookup and are visible only to authorized users in that workspace. Personal or director-related details in a report are not reused across unrelated customers. We retain reports, message history, audit logs, and account records for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms, unless deletion is requested and legally permitted.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted transport, access controls, authentication, logging, and least-privilege operational practices. No system is perfect, but we take the responsibility seriously and improve controls as the product grows.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You may request access, correction, deletion, or export of personal data associated with your account, subject to legal, security, and fraud-prevention limits. Where processing depends on consent, you may withdraw that consent. You may also ask us to close your workspace, delete stored reports, or remove a customer conversation where retention is no longer required.

8. DPDP Alignment

We aim to align our processing of digital personal data with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We provide this notice so you understand the personal data involved, the purposes of processing, and how to contact us about your rights or concerns.

9. Children

LanceIQ is a business product and is not intended for children or for personal, household, or consumer use.
